February's crochet along link up

February's crochet along project was to make your choice of Valentine's related items. I chose to make a cupcake using the free pattern on BitterSweet. I'm kinda bummed with how my cupcake came out though. It's not very round on top and I added an extra row of increases because for some reason the pink yarn was thinner than the beige and it was too small when it came to stitching the two pieces together. It looks like a droopy mess but oh well. I'm looking forward to seeing yours!

  3. Cupcakes can be a real pain when the yarns aren't the same weight, it's taken me a lot of trial and error to get them to sit just right.

  4. I think your cupcake is cute! I attempted the envelope for the crochet along.... but it just did not work out and totally not worth sharing so we did not make a post about it. Will be back next month though! ~Stephanie

  6. Your cake is good! If it was a real cake it'd be the one I'd pick as it looks like it has lots of yummy icing on it :-)
