It was my last week of unemployment and for some seriously messed up reason, I felt sad. I am of course happy I got a job and can finally start making money again, but I'm going to miss my routine and being with the dogs all day. I won't be missing the self loathing and feelings of worthlessness though. So I crocheted as much as I could and finished watching The Tudors on Netflix...which was a freaking great series, by the way, about King Henry the eighth and his six wives.

It was pretty mild this week even with the rain. It was in the 60's on Wednesday so I opened the side door to let the fresh air in. It really made me miss California's weather.

We saw Silver Linings Playbook last weekend and it was really good. Bradley Cooper was hilarious and Jennifer Lawrence is so pretty. I have girl crush on her. Before the movie started we went into Bath and Body Works for a new supply of foaming hand soaps and candles. OH MY GOD the candles. They are absolutely delicious. Carribbean Escape is my favorite.

And we also finally got a new bed for the guest room (which has now been moved to our previous shit brown wall master bedroom). We went mattress testing and I couldn't help but feel so stupid sitting and lying down on each bed. Thankfully there weren't too many people in the store to witness my awkwardness. And since we got the new bed, I've been stalking the internet for the perfect yellow and gray bed set. I finally settled on this duvet set. And I finally got around to getting some plate hooks to hang these little woodland h'orderve plates from Fab in the kitchen. They are too cute to store away in the cupboard.

That is all. I've got a giveaway coming tomorrow (which I'm beyond excited about), and another crochet video tutorial on how to make a magic ring. Bye!

I can totally understanding feeling sad now that you're going back to work. When you're at work I'm sure you'll have moments where you'd rather be at home. The grass is always greener! :) I'm excited for you though, can't wait to hear how your first day goes!
ReplyDeleteI kinda felt the same before I went back to work. We can never be 100% in our current situations but we just roll with it. Good luck with the new job!
ReplyDeleteThat makes total sense! But I'm sure you'll get used to it again:)
ReplyDeleteAnd I love those little plates! They've been on my wishlist for ages, but modcloth shipping is ridiculously high to Europe. Hope Fab will bring them here too!

Oh yes! I saw Silver Linings Playbook this past week also and really loved it!
ReplyDeleteLove how you hung the plates! All the cute!
ReplyDeleteUgh, I started work last week and I felt the EXACT same way as you did. It's great to make money but getting out of that homebody routine was tough.
ReplyDeleteyay for new job :-) Love those little plates, very cute.
ReplyDeleteWe have that duvet cover and we absolutely love it!
ReplyDeleteI think it makes sense that you are sad, it's the end of an era. Even if that era was unpaid and kind of depressing sometimes. Anyway, on to new things!
ReplyDeleteEep, i have those same plates! I bought mine from ModCloth last year and am wondering how much you got them from Fab for.
