Video tutorial // How to make a granny square and read a pattern: Step by step instructions

In this video, I'm crocheting a granny square and taking you through the pattern step by step to give you an idea on how to read one. It's not as scary as it looks!

The video is just over 17 minutes and I hope you find it helpful! To download and print the free pattern I'm using in the tutorial, click here. Then follow along with the video, pausing when you need to. If you have any questions, please leave it in the comments.

  1. I watched the whole thing! Great tutorial. I have to say, I am still overwhelmed by patterns but you made them make a bit more sense! After a few more watches and more practice I might be able to one day take part in your monthly crochet-a-long projects :)

I am working on a pattern free beginners granny stripe blanket. Once that's done, I'll get more daring!

Thanks for inspiring me to get into Crochet.
