It's time to link up your slouchy hats from December's crochet along! The free pattern we used was from Little Things Blogged. I had a lot of people tell me they were excited for this project. I can't wait to see yours! This hat was so easy to make and I had so much fun picking the colors. I made sure to keep this hat for myself. Eventually I'd like to make a matching scarf but I'll have to get more yarn in the colors I used.
I ended up using a hook that was slightly bigger than the pattern called for. For some reason I don't have a 4.5mm hook. What the heck?! I will have to remedy that. So because the hook was bigger, the first hat I made came out nice but too loose for my liking so I made this hat in a smaller size by leaving out row 8 which gave the hat 8 extra stitches around. Then for the blue band at the end, I used a hook 1 size down from the 4.5mm so it would fit snug around my head. I don't want to feel like it's going to fly off with a gust of wind!
