It's done! It's done! And it's time to share your hard work too!
November's crochet-along project was to make a granny square pillow from Wise Craft's pattern. I altered the pattern a bit by making my grannys more square in the corners. I put 2 Dc clusters with a ch 2 in between in each corner. The goal was to make 50 squares to fit on a 16"x16" pillow but when I got to 32 squares, I just didn't have it in me to make 18 more so I settled with a 14"x14" pillow.

This was my first time joining granny squares and I have to admit that it was hard! If you look really close, the seams are a bit uneven and holey but since the yarn is white like the pillow insert, it makes it hard to see from far away. I was totally procrastinating on joining all the squares until the last minute, just Tuesday actually. I even brought them home with me for Thanksgiving so I could work on them but nope, I made other things instead!

But I have to say I am so completely thrilled with the end result. The colors are the same as the ones in my granny stripe blanket that has been sitting ignored on the couch for the last few months.

Now it's time to link up and share your work! Thank you so much to everyone who participated. I know this project wasn't easy but knowing how much work went into it, should make you all very proud of yourselves!
If you are participating, feel free to grab a button to share the word!

It looks lovely Alicia. I'm making my cousin a granny square blanket at the moment and I've found it easier to join them together as I go along so I don't dread joining them all at the end, it is tedious.
ReplyDeleteI'll have to learn that method in the future! it's probably the least fun part of crocheting since I learned lol :)
