The vote was really close but the winner of our first project for the crochet-along will be the rainbow nesting bowls!

So here we go.....
Pattern:
Found here on Seriously Daisies
The pattern is made using American terminology. Please refer to this conversion chart for UK terminology if necessary.
Feel free to make as many or as few baskets as you'd like! I'm making 5.
Materials:
-Any worsted weight yarn in the colors of your choice (I'm using Lily's cotton solids).
-An F or G hook. The smaller the hook, the tighter the stitches, the more the sides will stay stiff (I'm using an F).
-Stitch marker.
-Darning needle to weave in ends.
Time frame:
We will be linking up all finished projects on October 31st! So take your time.
Stitches you need to know:
Magic ring (my own photo tutorial)
Single crochet (video tutorial)
Single crochet increase (basically, putting 2 single crochets in 1 stitch)
Invisible finish off (photo tutorial from Planet June)
Helpful videos and tips to get you started:

Tip / You are working in a spiral, so do not join each round. Just keep going around and around. Putting your stitch marker in the first stitch of each round will keep track of when each round is done. It's easy to loose count so just depend on your stitch marker to do this for you. Or if you're weird like me, you can put it in the last stitch of each round. Whatever works for you. Just stay consistent.
If you have any questions, please leave them in the comments below! The whole point of these crochet-alongs is to work together so if you are having problems we can all help each other out!
If you are participating, feel free to grab a button to share the word!
